Jane Ince
Bio

Jane Ince has been working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. After graduating from UBC, she started her career with Delta Hotels and Resorts in Whistler, and then moved to their flagship property in downtown Vancouver, The Delta Place. Quickly moving though the ranks in the Front Office, Jane found herself in a management position within her first year as a "Deltoid". After working with the Delta hotel group, she then went on to the newly purchased Shangri La Hotel, the Pacific Palisades, again in Downtown Vancouver.

Jane then spent 2 years with a Destination Travel Management Company living in the US and traveling to many countries around the world. Upon returning to Vancouver, Jane moved into the world of franchising, working as a Business Development Manager with Subway Restaurants and the Allied Domecq group of companies.

Jane created Jane Ince Consulting which has evolved into JI Media Connections. Jane will candidly tell you that "I didn't go looking for a career in Public Relations. But once Public and Media Relations work found me, I knew I had landed in the perfect career. My skill sets and personality are perfectly suited to the world of P.R. I love being the go to girl".

As Public and Media Relations Consultant, Jane has developed a long list of media contacts both in the Vancouver marketplace and throughout the world. Jane communicates with travel writers, editors and publishers on a regular basis and has secured a succession of impressive media hits. She has developed an easy rapport with the local media and with support organizations such as Tourism BC, Tourism Vancouver and Tourism Vancouver Island (TAVI).

Why has Jane had such wonderful success? She feels she is achieving great results because of her steady work ethic and her friendly communication style. "My style is approachable, which is invaluable when working with the varied personalities in the media industry. Follow up is always prompt and efficient because that is what the media demands. They don't have time for delays, excuses or imperfection."

Outside of her work, Jane finds great pleasure in spending time with her family. She continues to travel as much as her schedule will allow and enjoys long distance running.
